چکیده

In a virtual organization environment, where services and data are provided and shared among organizations from different administrative domains and protected with dissimilar security policies and measures, there is a need for a flexible authentication framework that supports the use of various authentication methods and tokens. The authentication strengths derived from the authentication methods and tokens should be incorporated into an access-control decision-making process, so that more sensitive resources are available only to users authenticated with stronger methods. This paper reports our ongoing efforts in designing and implementing such a framework to facilitate multi-level and multi-factor adaptive authentication and authentication strength linked fine-grained access control. The proof-ofconcept prototype is designed and implemented in the Shibboleth and PERMIS infrastructures, which specifies protocols to federate authentication and authorization information and provides a policy-driven, role-based, access-control decision-making capability. Fine-Grained Data Security in Virtual Organizations

Controlling the access to data based on user credentials is a fundamental part of database management systems. In most cases, the level at which information is controlled extends only to a certain level of granularity. In some scenarios, however, there is a requirement to control access at a more granular way allowing the users to see only the data they are supposed to see in a database table. ...

A combination of semantic and attribute-based access control model for virtual organizations

A Virtual Organization (VO) consists of some real organizations with common interests, which aims to provide inter organizational associations to reach some common goals by sharing their resources with each other. Providing security mechanisms, and especially a suitable access control mechanism, which enforces the defined security policy is a necessary requirement in VOs. Since VO is a complex ...

Supporting Secure Ad-hoc User Collaboration in Grid Environments

We envision that many usage scenarios involving computational grids will be based on small, dynamic working groups for which the ability to establish transient collaboration with little or no intervention from resource administrators is a key requirement. Current grid security mechanisms support individual users who are members of well-defined virtual organizations. Recent research seeks to pro...

Achieving Fine-grained Access Control and Integrity Auditing in Cloud Storage ⋆

Attributes based encryption (ABE) can achieve flexible and scalable access control and gurantee the confidentiality of the data stored in the cloud. However, important issues such as efficient user revocation and fine-grained access control are not straightforward, which constrain the adoption of ABE in cloud storage systems. Our proposed scheme realizes fine-grained read and write access contro...

Effective Data Access Control for Multi-Authority Cloud Storage with Intrusion Detection

Business Record (BR) is an emerging centric model of information exchange, which is often outsourced to be stored at a third party, such as cloud providers. However, there have been wide privacy concerns as business information could be exposed to those third party servers and to unauthorized parties. To assure the business data control over access to their own BRs, it is a promising method to ...
